Lorca/Pillow Cinque Pezzi Facili. Vol. 1 UMB#014
|
Lorca's
Lorca's Some Kind of Payoff is a collection of five mellow, melancholic and
minimalist songs, tendered in an ethereal and diffused atmosphere. Pillow's
She takes you, She leaves you softly walks through sorrowful acoustic tunes,
in which the dust stuck behind the corners lightened by the yellow of fluorescent lamps
can be breath. Request it from our archive

My Dear Killer/Tettu Mortu Cinque Pezzi Facili. Vol. 3 UMB#016
|
Cinque Pezzi Facili. Volume 3. This collaborative effort of My Dear Killer and Tettu Mortu composes the third volume of
the split collection entitled "Cinque Pezzi Facili" edited by Under My Bed.
Cynical Quietness (My Dear Killer) a brief acoustic passage by the depth of incommunicability in which the usual mesh of drawn and feedback are substituted by field recordings of the Scottish winter.
Bounce is a collection of short sketches in which Tettu Mortu reexplores the impro-noise improvisation of its previous works
(Christo EP, Fields Ep) in the first two episodes, leaving place to the field recordings dominated closing tracks.
Ten pieces to remember that the winter will be coming soon again.

Empty Vessel Music/Konstanzegraff Cinque Pezzi Facili. Vol. 5 UMB#018
|
Cinque Pezzi Facili. Volume 5. The fifth and conclusive split of the Cinque Pezzi Facili series,
features the contribution of Empty Vessel Music and Konstanzegraff. "The slavery diaries" is a collection of intense
acoustic portraits, from which emerges a very personal and modern take on what might appear, at the surface, as a crystallised
and canonical style. Apparently, in sharp contrasts, the companion split by Konstanzegraff features experimental beats manipulation,
and electronic alliterations. Diverse elements build up Vietrax - rhythm often comes from synthesised lines flowing in parallel with
the skeletal percussion, whilst melodic counterpoints form a faded and weatherbeaten remittance.

My Dear Killer The Easter EP UMB#022 |
The Easter EP collects spare material, alternative takes and complementary interpretations which either appear, or that
have not been included, in the final edit of Clinical Shyness. Having been mostly recorded during the Easter brake of
2001 with fortune equipment, it appears overall stylistically coherent yet rather extreme in its low-fidelity approach: for archivist only, and
out of press.

Atlas Cedar The Bank Holiday Session UMB#021 |
Debut of Atlas Cedar, released by Under my bed. The only superficial harmonic simplicity,
chiselled by painstaking guitar and mellow singing confers an understate tone to this song collection.
Arranged with simplicity and elegance, the Bank Holiday Session is a collection of unpretentious
tunes, on the verge of introspective and minimalist song-writing.

I am vertical
Sylvia Plath Tribute UMB#012 |
Released on 29th anniversary of the poet's departure, I am vertical is Under My Bed's
tribute to the work of Sylvia Plath. The poem is subjected to very personal interpretations
by The Frozen Fracture, Morose and Buiomega. The different approaches of
the bands, either in the direct interpretatation of the lyrics or in the purely musical form
of the But I would rather be horizontal instrumental take, set
a multifaceted a tone to this piece of work. From the noisy approach of Buio Omega,
to the most reflective attitude of Morose and through the neat arithmetic guitars of The Frozen Fracture,
it is the ultimate beauty of the poet's lyrics which uncovers and permeates this record.

Mr. 60/The Frozen Fracture Cinque Pezzi Facili. Vol. 2 UMB#015 |
Second volume of the 5 Pezzi Facili split series. Mr.60's "Concepto:desperato" is a metaphoric
journey through which the band explores its vast compositive possibility
given by ability of the members to apaly seval instruments. The mellow and subtitle irony of
which this halp of the EP is impregnated constitutes Mr 60s trademark. The Frozen Fracture contribution
"Rare Earths Noble Gases" is also a time-travel journey cobining songs recorded uning Fisher-Price microphones,
VHS recorder and other sort of oddity. It is an unusually random brick-a-brak and the ultimate experience of a
musical project failure.

Morose/Campofame Cinque Pezzi Facili. Vol. 4 UMB#017
|
Cinque Pezzi Facili. Volume 4. The fourth split of the 5 Pezzi Facili series, features the contribution from Morose,
and Campofame. This is the second Morose work with lyrics in Italian, and the first as a duo, which also
features the collaboration of members of Campofame. This is a stumbling walk through the dark corners of souls, accompanied
by a inspired executions and arrangements. Compafame continue on the a similar tortuous path in their very personal yet
elegant combination of acoustic, electronic and field recordinds.

Mr60 Mista Sista From Outta Space UMB#026 |
Try to imagine a indie almost-twee pop band wearing a cowboy hat, playing instruments taken

Jeffrey Fields Graceland UMB#024 |
Having spent time in several rock and post-punk bands in the 90s, Jeffrey began writing and recording his own
songs in early 2003. Recording mostly at home on a limited budget, and even more limited equipment, Jeffrey
wears his influences on his sleeve while maintaining his own unique lyrical vision and melodic eccentricities.
With a songwriting style often compared to Grant Lee Buffalo and The Jayhawks, Jeffrey found a fan in Thomas
Heath, owner and operator of Indiana's Tract Records.

My Dear Killer - The Fog In The Shell
My Love, A Definition UMB#08 |
Possibly the best representation of what the so-called "bedroom scene" attitude is about. My Dear Killer picks up
his guitar and sings in front of a cassette tape recorder;
in a bedroom, or in a lounge, or in a kitchen. It does not really matter. Without production or overdubbing
or any embellishment. This is just how the songs flow, never mind the background
noise from the motorway: he says a waitress. THEfogINtheSHELL, alternates episode of pure intimacy
(Song for E., Song for M.), with the warmth and comfort of a rehearsals with friends
(Song for F.), and collects a live performance of its earlydays classic Sorry:
he says a slumber

My Dear Serial Killer
1/3; 2/3; 3/3 BM03 |
My Dear serial Killer is a series of mini-CD, compiled by Boring Machines. Each of the splits contains three songs, in which My dear Killer appears
in variety of forms, ranging from the simplest guitar &voice arrangement, to the landscape layering
technique which characterises the first full length album, Clinical Shyness. This is, despite the title,
all but a serialisation, rather a journey into the heart of the meticulous chiselling leading to the definition
of its characteristic and exquisitely personal song-writing style.
Available from Boring Machines.

Lorca Any old things will do |
Lorca's Any old things will do is a astonishing collection of acoustic portraits
laying in between the intimacy of songwriters' introspection and
the murmurs of modern approach to folk spirit. The tasteful arrangements and care for
apparent insignificant datails, together with the neatness of excusions, makes it a
record rich of hidden surspises which slowly emerge after each listening.
